Bypass Belgrade: Opening of the section from the ``Straževica`` tunnel to Bubanj Potok
The opening of the section from the “Straževica” tunnel to Bubanj Potok marks the end of the multi-decade Belgrade Bypass project, on which work began back in 1990.
Within this project, the company “Unipromet” carried out the delivery and installation of key infrastructure equipment, including about 42,078 m of steel protective fence,
3,426 m of pedestrian fence and 2,858 m of wire fence. Also, 2,418 m² of noise protection panels were installed, which further increased the level of safety in this section.
The new section of bypass Belgrade will significantly relieve the burden on city roads, which will result in a drastic reduction of travel time through transit flows.
In addition, a reduction in air pollution and noise pollution is expected, as well as a reduction in the number of traffic accidents, which will improve the quality of life of all citizens.
