Jovan Bojović, New Sales Director at Unipromet: ``Trust Is Always Built by People``
From development and production to a leadership position in sales, Jovan Bojović views his new role as an opportunity to strengthen the company’s market position, develop new markets, and enhance collaboration within Unipromet.
Taking on a new role within a company that has been part of his life-practically since he was growing up-represents both a professional step forward and a personal responsibility for Jovan Bojović.
As the new Sales Director at Unipromet, he is focusing his priorities on further market development, strengthening relationships with customers and business partners, and improving the integration of the sales department with other sectors of the company.
A Path Connecting Different Parts of the Company
“I have been with the company officially for five years, but unofficially for almost my entire life,” notes Jovan, whose upbringing was significantly shaped by the environment at Unipromet.
He began his professional journey in the development sector, continued in production as a continuous improvement coordinator, and also gained experience in sales support. Working across various segments of the company has enabled him to better understand the processes that precede a sale, as well as the importance of bridging technical expertise, production capabilities, and customer needs.
This experience serves as a vital foundation for his new role, in which he views sales as part of a broader system-one that relies on collaboration between different teams and the collective achievement of goals.
Understanding the Customer as the Foundation for Successful Collaboration
For Jovan, successful sales do not end with the offer of a high-quality product. It begins with understanding the customer’s needs, their challenges, and the circumstances in which they operate.
“Offering a high-quality product alone is not enough for the customer. It is essential to understand their needs and challenges, identify the right solution, and serve as a reliable partner throughout the entire project,” emphasizes Jovan.
This approach entails open communication, attentive listening, and a readiness to address the specific requirements of each project. It is precisely through such collaboration that relationships are built-relationships that extend beyond individual transactions to form the foundation of a long-term partnership.
Market Development and Stronger Internal Collaboration
Jovan views his new role as a significant expression of trust, as well as a responsibility toward the company and its employees. His priorities include strengthening Unipromet’s position in existing markets, developing new markets, and improving the coordination of sales teams.
He places particular importance on enhancing information exchange and fostering stronger connections between the sales department and other sectors. Effective internal collaboration enables a better understanding of customer requirements, the development of higher-quality solutions, and more seamless execution during project implementation.
He sees potential for further growth in Unipromet’s robust production capacities, the expertise of its employees, and the experience the company has cultivated over the years. These resources serve as the foundation for further product development, responding to market demands, and expanding business into new markets.
Behind every successful project stand people
Although sales results are often expressed in terms of contracts, achieved goals, and business metrics, Jovan believes that people—and the quality of their collaboration- are far more important for long-term success.
Open communication, teamwork, and mutual understanding form the foundation of relationships with customers, as well as collaboration within the company. When trust exists, it becomes easier to understand needs, align expectations, and find solutions that deliver value to all parties involved.
“Long-term relationships are not built overnight. They are cultivated over years through quality, reliability, and open communication. Companies may collaborate and close deals, but it is always people who build the trust” notes Jovan Bojović in his concluding message.
It is precisely here that Jovan sees the essence of sales and the key direction for his future work: in connecting knowledge, experience, and people, ensuring that Unipromet continues to develop stable business relationships and create space for new opportunities.
