The final phase of construction of the new facility for solar mounting systems production
At “Unipromet,” the construction of a new production facility is nearing completion. This facility will be focused on the production of existing product assortments and structures for solar power plants aimed at the global market.
The foundation stone for the new production facility was laid on September 6, 2024, during the official celebration of the company’s 35 years of successful business. Currently, the work on the 2,500 m² building is nearing completion.
How are the works progressing?
“Currently, the facade walls are under construction, the building is covered, the interior is completed, and the electrical installations are in progress. At this moment, we plan to start installing heating and ventilation systems, so we expect the building to be completed by mid-March, allowing us to accept and install the equipment,” said Predrag Stevanović, Director of Investment Construction.
3 new production lines, 30 employees…
The new facility will have three production lines for bending and processing steel profiles, primarily steel columns, which will significantly increase productivity in the production of existing assortments and structures for solar power plants. Each line will have two operators, so this facility, together with internal transport and engineering, will employ at least 30 people. The trial run is planned for the end of March, with the start of serial production expected in the first half of April this year.
Unipromet’s structures for solar panels are also present in the U.S.
By building this new production facility, “Unipromet” further strengthens its position as a leader in the steel industry. In addition to its long-standing presence in the Balkans, last year we began exporting structures for solar power plants to one of the most demanding and competitive markets—the U.S. This milestone confirms the quality of our product range and opens new opportunities for further global expansion.
